We have been using ribbons galore around our home because we have been crafting things for Valentine’s. My ribbon drawer (one of 2) got all messed up and scrambled.
You can see I like using plastic sacks to corral and contain which makes clutter control ever so easy.
All it took was a couple of minutes to put the ribbons back where they belonged rather than leaving them all a tangled mess to deal with later. (That was actually my first thought).
Setting goals makes clutter control easier than pie because we know what we want and it is easier to work towards something rather than away from something.

I “inherited” two big bags of sewing supplies – buttons, ribbons, spools of multi coloured threads etc. The spools of sewing threads came in a stool that concealed a storage box. I added my own supply – ie I tipped them in. I was always able to find a colour to mend something! — eventually. Then yesterday my grandson was over and he wanted me to mend his “Tigger” soft toy. Just the right shade of brown was required. We pulled out all the shades of brown and I mended the toy. Then together we took out ALL the spools and grouped them in colours and I used some plastic containers that fruit came in and reorganised the stool. Well, that felt good! I must do the same as you now with the ribbons and zips. I think the plastic baggies are good as you can see what you have. Off to look after three of our grandsons after school while their parents are at a wedding. I’m taking my knitting over……
You know, I like the idea of knowing what you want something to look like when you are done is a BIG piece in clutter control. It’s when you don’t like what you see (clutter) and not knowing how to really fix it! Like the example! thanks
