Tiny Yet Brilliant Clutter Control Tip

I have many cords that go from my computer to the printer, router, modem and some other cords as well that are all under my desk. They are neatly tucked away but when I have to unplug one of them I have to hunt around for the right cord.  In a word it is a PAIN.

I have seen many ways to organize cords and I this one I am actually using for clutter control under my desk. I don’t have colored ones but the white ones are working great. I didn’t take a photo because it is dark under there and this photo is easier to see.

Shower Cap To The Rescue

Clutter Control Product Review:

Have all you travelers already figured this one out? I hadn’t, even with all the traveling I do. Use the shower cap you get in almost every hotel/motel you stay in to put your shoes in so your clothes stay clean. Or buy a bag of them at your local dollar store.

I always use a plastic grocery bag (even though I use recyclable bags I usually seem to have some around) to put my shoes in. But the bag is bigger than I need and I can’t see through it so I have to open every one to see what pair of shoes I have.

Sturdy Clutter Control For The Bathroom

Are you forever picking up bobby pins off the bathroom counter or searching through drawers to find some? How about your tweezers or other metal essentials you keep in the bathroom?

This is a clever way to master clutter control over those essentials. Attach a magnetic strip on the wall. How simple is that? You could attach it behind the door if you don’t want it obvious in the room or on the inside of the medicine cabinet door.

Here is another clever organizing tip to get rid of clutter which is very inexpensive:

Attach a Velcro strip to the wall to attach soft toys to. I am always being asked “how do I store stuffed animals”? This is a clever way to decorate the walls and get the toys out of the way. Several strips could be attached one above the other.

Velcro is a brand name but any hook and loop tape would work. Buy it at a hardware or fabric store.

HAPPY St. Patrick’s Day to you tomorrow. Be sure to wear the green to avoid being pinched. Does your country have this tradition?

Simplified Solution To Get Rid Of Paper Clutter

As you know I do products reviews every Friday. Today I am asking you what kind of product have you been looking for and can’t find? My readers from near and far can maybe point you in the right direction to find what you are looking for.

For the next few weeks I am sharing some fun ideas that cost very little.

To get rid of wrapping paper clutter attach two wires from side to side to contain rolls. In this photo they have done it on the ceiling rather than cluttering the floor (their words, not mine).

I don’t see why the rolls don’t fall right down, but there you have it. It would work beautifully on the floor of a closet if you have the room.

The words “So Long Winter” caught my eye when I was looking through The Container Store catalog. I found a product that can be good for clutter control in your closet where you store seasonal clothing.

Look at this long-term storage container for seasonal items. It can be a great solution for seasonal storage if you have the space. They say it is made of breathable cotton canvas with a clear vinyl window and is exclusive to The Container Store.

Regular price was $69.00 and when I saw it, it was on sale for $49.00. It got 4 stars out of 5 on the reviews.

As you know I am partnered with SMEAD office products. They send me a new product every month. This month it is an Income Tax Organizer.

Choose To Get Rid Of Clutter With This…

Get Rid Of Clutter Product Review:

This is the coolest product—I was in my client’s home and we were chatting about organizing solutions for her cluttered closet. (Her words, not mine). She said she knew she needed to get rid of the clutter but didn’t know what to do with all the things that needed to be kept in the closet such as back packs her children brought home from school.

This is the solution she came up with, a back pack rack from Amazon. I declare if someone needs an organizing product all they have to do is search and low and behold there will be a solution to get rid of clutter. I didn’t even know this was ‘out there’, thank you Rebekah.

Organize Clutter with this Nifty Product

Product Review:

This is a nifty organizing product a woman I am organizing with picked up at Target.

It is a white board that isn’t just boring white. It can be written on and erased. This could be a good command center board for the family’s activities. What a clever product to organize clutter.

Another one I saw that is available in Target is a ‘Note-it Style Combo Station 3 Hook in black’. There are so many great options to organize clutter now days, all we have to do is recognize a need and then look for a solution to that need.
