My fav tip for keeping small embellishments is to buy those 7 day, 4 bay pill boxes and I keep a selection of eyelets, brads, clips, bands.. anything little that I might use at a crop or at home, then I can just slip it into my crop bag and it takes hardly any room.
My second fav tip is using a revolving spice rack to store my beads in, as the jars are usually clear, it’s not only a great way to store them, but gives some colour to my room!
Not sure how you will draw on the 11th May, but count me in please, and good luck to all who enter!

Hi Marilyn - I don’t do scrapbooking, but I HAVE been dabbling in altered art using papers and books and journals etc, so I imagine this might have some information that would be helpful to me. Please add my name to your drawing!

Hi Marilyn,
I would love to win the book. (Did you mean May 11 or June 11 for the drawing?) Please enter me in the drawing. My organization tip is: I have a revoloving utensil holder that I don’t use for untensils. I use it for my quilting supplies. I have rulers, pencils, rotary cutters, tape, tools, etc. in it. It sits on my sewing table, and it keeps everything within reach and in its place. It is wonderful. I also have one for my scrapbook markers and pencils, etc. Have a great day and thanks for the give-away. See you on Friday? Julie

ChelleBB–what great tips!!! And thank you too for pointing out my error. I am going to go in right now and fix it. Would that be called Back To The Future? HUM

Org Tip: I have a basket in my house that I throw junk mail into and once a week I go through it and take out those things I want (promotionals etc.) and shred the rest. Then I recycle the shredded paper. It feels really great to purge that junk. I’d love to be in your drawing, sign me up.

I have organized my baby’s clothes by age/size and kept all the bigger clothes in bins, clearly labeled. As she grows it will be easy to pull out her “new” clothes and I won’t have to waste time looking through everything and picking out the right sizes!

My organizing tip for scrapbooking is to keep my clear stamps in a photo box. It displays nicely and I can easily flip through them.
For quilting, I keep my rotary cutter in a pencil box holder. The one which you unsnap and slide it open….It is great to carry to quilting gatherings too!
Thank You-Tara

I am a very organized person so I would love to receive this book to see if I could learn something new. I have containers for everything just about. My best tip is to store your papers by color. I also store my patterned paper by style whether it be: stripes, dots, flowers, etc.

Hi Marilyn, my current scrap space is in my bedroom and is very small. I have to be very organized with my things. I am also easily frustrated looking for things so I like things that are easy to access. I use binders with page protectors for stickers and I have them divided into sections to they are easy to find. I have converted all my clear acrylic stamps to cd cases - they are so much easier to find. I keep all my buttons, brads, and random embellishments in plastic tackle box type storage containers.
My favorite organization tip is environmentally friendly and crafty at the same time. I took empty pringle cans and cut them down to make pencil, pen, and scissor containers then I decorated them with patterned paper and embellishment. Sooo cute!

I’ve been reorganizing and designing my studio. This book would be great!
My organizational tip:
1. Use page protectors to place on top of your stacks of paper to keep the dust off.
2. I use a photo organizer, the one with the cute carry handle, to put on shaped chipboard.
3. Use your ribbon and flowers to decorate your studio but use them in a way you can reach up and get one to put on a page. I’m individually sewing flowers on one of my baskets, but all I have to do is snip one off when I need it.

The best thing I have done is to unmount my stamps off wood blocks and re-mount them on EZ mount and store the unmounted stamps in CD cases. Takes up a lot less room and the stamps are easy to use cause you can see the outline when you are using them on an acrylic block.
The other tip is from my friend Sue (TY Sue) make sure you take the 10 or 15 min a night to clean you desk/work area before bed. Doesn’t take long and it keeps everything organized.
Wonderful help on your blog Thank you!

I am always organizing and re-organizing my scrapbooking supplies. I have my ribbon on the little floss cards then put them on a binder ring. Then I hang them on a belt hanger. It makes it easier to find my ribbon.

My organizational tip for your scrapbooking area. I use old baby wipe containers to hold my markers. It’s the perfect size. Thanks so much for the chance to win the book.

me me me pick me - I want to win (did that get your attention?!?!?!)
My organisation tip is to store like things together, I have a cube style bookcase so with my scrapbooking supplies I use a cube for a certain type of product. ie I have a stamping cube (storing, stamps, inks, embossing powders, heat tool etc), another cube for albums, another for plain papers, another cutting tools etc.
Seems to work well for now, but always open for better ideas.
Thanks for the opportunity.

My organizing tip is to sort paper by theme, then gender, and finally by color. I use the cropperhopper file box for 12″ paper.
BTW I would love to win this book, so count me in on this giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win.

I have been eyeing this book for awhile now. There are always ways to improved our lives by organizing. I love having like items in baskets, it is so much easier!
June 9th, 2008 at 7:35 am
My favorite way to organize many of my items is to use binders & page protectors (full-size, 4 x 6, and baseball). I sort by theme and use these for embellies, rub-ons, alphas, die-cuts, tags, small acrylic stamps and stamp sets, etc. I have another binder with all my sketches & project ideas and another one with all my ATCs from swaps in baseball card sleeves.
Thanks for the chance to win such a neat book.

I have a magnet board in my kitchen. I put the word moderation at the top and pictures on it that make me happy and help me to remember moderation in all things–eating, buying things etc. I would love to win this book. Thanks for the opportunity.

My tip is hire Marilyn! It’s a GREAT way to get organized!
Also, when I was a more organized soul, I separated my paper based on color and theme. I put them in manilla folders. I now know the error of my ways have plans to put the paper in hanging folders.
Another craft that I like to do involves polymer clay. I have a lot of “canes”. To keep those organized, I bought a container with sections that keeps the canes from getting stuck together and mixing.
I’d love to be added to the drawing! Thanks.
