Time Management and Forgetfulness
July 21st, 2008
Some days you do what you have to do to get the job accomplished. My daughter was laughing at me the other day because I went down stairs and I had my arm out straight and was muttering to myself. (sheets, sheets, sheets) There are days when I just forget what I am going after from one room to the next. Just saying what I needed out loud was not enough so I put my arm out and away I went. Other than the laughter it helped with people not distracting me by asking me a question on my way.
Sometimes when I forget I have to go back to the place I thought about what I was going for and it comes back to me. Because I am big into time management and this is a waste of time to have to do this I am always looking for other solutions—hence my arm pointed straight out charging away.
Do you ever forget what you were going after? What trick do you do to remember?

I have to write things down and check them off as I’ve done them. I swear, with the birth of our second baby my short-term memory has taken a permanent vacation. Lists save me.

I do that all too often! I had a pastor that when he forgot what something, he would say he had to go back and sit on his thinker.
