Deep cleaning an entire house can feel overwhelming, but Marilyn Bohn, professional organizer and author of "Go Organize: Conquer Clutter in 3 Simple Steps," said there's an easier way.

Bohn of Bountiful said staying organized year-round is the key to stress-free living.

"Don't do spring cleaning," Bohn said. "Do it a little at a time and do it all year long."

By not getting overwhelmed with the task at hand, Bohn said the workload becomes less intimidating.

Keeping children safe at home
Marilyn Bohn, professional organizer says keeping your home organized goes a long way to keeping children safe in your home. She said, "I can absolutely say, ‘’Yes If the home is terribly disorganized, it is much more unsafe for children. Absolutely."

I love working with seniors and helping them in their homes whether they are getting ready to move from the same home they have lived in for over 40 years or just creating more space and ending clutter where they live.

Seniors are vibrant, intelligent and fun to work with. I remember one little old lady 82 years old, had a beautiful shawl and wanted to donate it as she wouldn’t wear because it reminded her of an old lady. What a sweetie.

If you need help getting organized, Marilyn Bohn, owner of "Get It Together Organizing" is your woman.

The Bountiful woman calls herself a creative professional organizer. She goes into people's homes and offices and organizes their space.

"I make it their happy place. I also organize the personal belongings of family members who have moved to a nursing home or are deceased," she says.

Bohn recalls her 4 foot 9 inch grandmother's pockets, always filled with a pink semi-sweet mint for the grandkids, or a handkerchief when a nose needed to be wiped.
